Our Department is Equipped with State-of-the-Art Technology from Leading Global Manufacturers:

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Scanner: Canon 1.5 T Vantage Orian
  • Two 640-slice Computed Tomography (CT) Scanners: Canon Aquilion ONE Genesis edition
  • Three Digital Mobile X-ray Machines: X-fit Roesys
  • Stationary Digital X-ray Machine: Canon Radrex

Key Areas of Expertise

Each year, our department performs a significant number of cardiac and vascular examinations, most of which are expert-level studies:

  • Approximately 4,000 CT examinations
  • More than 2,000 MRI examinations of various anatomical regions
  • Around 12,000 X-ray examinations

Our primary focus is on highly specialized cardiac and vascular imaging, including cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and CT aortography.

Highly Qualified Specialists

Our department is staffed by highly qualified specialists who adhere to modern medical standards and continuously improve their expertise. Our radiologists actively participate in leading European cardiology and radiology congresses and are members of:

  • The Ukrainian Association of Radiologists
  • The Ukrainian Association of Cardiologists
  • The Ukrainian Association of Cardiovascular Surgeons
  • The European Society of Radiology (ESR)
  • The European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR)

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Room

In 2023, our department installed a new state-of-the-art MRI scanner – Canon Vantage Orian 1.5T.

Key Advantages of the System:

  • Powerful gradients ensuring high-quality imaging with minimal scan time for the patient
  • Innovative technical and software solutions allowing for complex and high-tech examinations
  • Routine use of T1, T2, and T2 Mapping sequences in clinical practice, significantly expanding diagnostic capabilities

The implementation of T1, T2, and T2 Mapping sequences allows for non-contrast assessment of myocardial tissue characteristics, which is crucial for early diagnosis of inflammatory and infiltrative heart diseases.
Our department is one of the few in Ukraine where these techniques are routinely applied, significantly enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

Cardiac Examinations

This advanced equipment enables fast and high-quality cardiac MRI examinations, including:

  • Assessment of myocardial viability and changes after myocardial infarction
  • Diagnosis of inflammatory myocardial changes (myocarditis)
  • Diagnosis and differentiation of cardiomyopathies (hypertrophic, dilated, ischemic, restrictive, arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, etc.)
  • Visualization of cardiac and mediastinal tumors (benign and malignant)
  • Diagnosis of rare myocardial diseases, pericardial pathology, and valvular disorders

MRI of other Systems

In addition to cardiac imaging, our department offers a wide range of MRI examinations for other anatomical regions, including:

  • Brain MRI with non-contrast MR angiography
  • MRI of all spinal regions – cervical, thoracic, and lumbar
  • MRI of major joints – hip, knee, ankle
  • MRI of the mediastinum
  • MRI of the abdomen and pelvis with the option of non-contrast MR cholangiopancreatography

Multislice Computed Tomography (MSCT) Room

In 2024, our department installed a modern 640-slice CT scanner – Canon Aquilion ONE Genesis Edition, equipped with a full range of cardiology and vascular imaging options.

Key Advantages of the System:

  • Controlled radiation dose, minimizing patient exposure
  • Ultra-thin slice acquisition for highly detailed visualization
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) technology to reduce artifacts and enhance image quality
  • Capability to perform specialized cardiac examinations of any complexity

This allows for high-resolution imaging with minimal radiation exposure, ensuring both patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.

Our department provides specialized cardiovascular and general diagnostic imaging, including:

  • Abdomen, pelvic CT
  • CT angiography of any region (neck, brain, lower limb arteries, etc.)
  • Brain CT
  • MSK CT

An CT scan in our department takes only a few seconds.
Thanks to optimized radiation use, even at a minimal dose, we achieve the highest image quality and resolution.
