On the basis of the department prepared and defended: 3 doctoral and 2 candidate’s theses.

Main directions of activity:

• pathohistological diagnostics of biopsy, operative and autopsy material with use wide range of histological and histochemical techniques;
• dissektor’s work;
• cytological research: effusion fluids, gynecological screening;
• creation of a database of micro- and macrophoto on multidisciplinary directions;
• implementation of department planned scientific research;
• support of morphological research for scientific thems of the institute;
• advisory assistance to the aspirants on morphological part of investigation;
• pedagogical work;
• consulting and diagnostic work with other medical institutions;
• advisory assistance in matters of legal and regulatory support for thesis.
